ADVANCE WEIGHT SYSTEMS' Electronics hardware falls into three categories of products: Data Acquisition components, Scale Meters, and Set-Point Controllers. The customer can choose the hardware that will best meet a particular need; whether to serve as an interface to other customer Production Control Electronics or provide total control of the process.

DATA ACQUISITION ELECTRONICS:   These components provide an interface between the AWS Load-Cell or Scale and other control systems.

The AWSI-RS-232 Module serves as the interface module between the strain gage load-cell and a computer; with an RS-232 serial port.

The AWSI-4-20ma Our 4-20 milli-amp Module serves as the interface module between the strain gage load-cell and any other control equipment.

METERS: This family of meters are designed not only for acquiring data from the load-cell; but to address unusual applications where a run-of-the-mill meter would not do the application fully or correctly. There are such features as display driven sorting of parts while at the same time, statistical data is gathered and made available to monitor the process. The AWSI-21-v350 Conrod Meter is just one example.

The AWSI-21-v350 Conrod Meter not only has all the features that one expects in a full feature weigh-meter, but it also reads two scale bases at the same time, producing not only the total weight, but also the Crank-End weight and the Pin-End weight.

All the AWSI-v350 Meters have an RS-232 output that can be tied to a computer or to a printer. It also has comunications via TCP/IP Cable. Various custom commands can be sent to the unit, either through the RS-232, or the TCP/IP connection.

Just like the AWSI-21-v350 Cnonrod Meter, the AWSI-BB4-v350 Bowling Ball Meter has all the features that one expects in a full feature weigh-meter, but it also reads two transducers at the same time, producing not only the "Total Weight", but also the "Top Weight" of the Ball.

And again, as above, all the AWSI-v350 Meters have an RS-232 output that can be tied to a computer or to a printer. It also has comunications via TCP/IP Cable. Various custom commands can be sent to the unit, either through the RS-232, or the TCP/IP connection.

CONTROLLERS:   These components are designed not only for acquiring data from the load-cell; but also to control such features as scale loading, sorting and part escapement. At the same time, statistical data is gathered and made available to monitor the process; even to providing feedback control to other equipment.

The AWSI-v700-SC Setpoint Controller, not only has all the features that one expects in a full feature weigh-meter, but it also provides memory capacity to store data and setpoints for 100 different parts. In addition, six output relays allow for control of several material handling components. The AWSI-v700-SC can be used with - or in place of - production control equipment.
